Ok, OK! I know they are called the Nike SB “Chirping Birds” right?!? Well maybe not..

We all knew that the name was tagged because of the sound box installed in the fat tongue of this sb that made Chirps Sounds when pressed (as well as the fur lining).  So it made logical sense to name them what we did.  Whether you liked it or not, it is definitely an innovative idea coming from the people at Nike SB.

Well here is the kicker…  ARE you ready?!?…..

The Chirping Birds NO LONGER make a chirping sound.  These, now as much as I hate to be the bearer of bad news for some,  “Ring” like a telephone…  YES!!  A telephone.  AGS got this information from a VERY reliable source in the skateboarding world, and it all comes down to this fictitious character called “Larry Perkins”.

“Larry Perkins” is a fictitious character from about 5 years ago.  This character was a self proclaimed “best and most under rated skateboarder alive”.  He did a bunch of prank calls and fake skate interviews for Big Brother (owned at the time by Larry Flint publications).

So why the telephone?  Well, the Prank Calls of course!  Don’t ask me about the fur, but it is what it is.

Google him, and you’ll find tons of information.  Also, as your probably heard, these are now the QS for March and not February….
