The Scholl Residence in Aspen, Colorado by Studio B Architects

The Scholl Residence expands on the ‘Case Study’ series of the 1950’s. The steep site possessed challenges with drainage, topography, a small footprint, restrictive easements and was required to address very limiting neighborhood design review standards. Contextually, the area was developed in the 1960’s and surrounding residents were quite resistant to the architectural direction. Although the neighborhood is one of transition, this was the greatest challenge in realizing the project. – Studio B Architects

I love this place! It looks so beautiful, especially with the snow! I could already see me owning this house and visiting the Winter X Games every year. Oh dreams.. dreams…

45 Faber Park by Ong & Ong Architects

The clients for this Project are a couple with three young children, – a set of twins and a younger child, all under 10. Their main aim was to maximise outdoor space whilst not compromising living areas. It was therefore essential that there would be sufficient space for the children to play outdoors as well as indoors. The priority of creating an open living space with a direct relationship to a large outdoor space became a driving force in the scheme.

This house is incredible! It’s really ahead of its time and I’m absolutely in love with the bathroom. Another thing I really like is how it’s very open. You can see on one picture that it’s almost like having the living room outside, which is perfect for dinner party’s. Hit the jump for the pics!

Ikies Traditional Houses in Santorini, Greece

Ikies Traditional Houses is a special type of hotel located in Santorini, Greece. The types of accommodation are divided into studios (one bedroome), maisonettes (loft bedroom) and suites each with own intriguing name. Ikies uses their surroundings by perching their apartments on the cliffs and expanding the space even further with private pations, Jacuzzis and pools. This is all carefully crafted to view the famous sunsets.

Saba Italia Bookcases

New bookcases from Saba Italia for 2010.

In my view, absolutely fantastic. Great movement, functional as well as sculptural. The bookcases are the cream of the current offerings, which also includes side tables, sofas, and a superb lounge chair. While not modular, the pieces offer some degree of customization to space, and even function – a set of armchairs figures nicely with a folding arm for added flexibility.

Very eye catching.. would love to see this in a nice downtown condo. More pics after the jump
