Style Wars Restoration – Donations Needed!

In the early 1980s, Mayor Koch, enraged about graffiti, began buffing the city’s colorful, painted trains. In the end, he may have succeeded, but not before Tony Silver and Henry Chalfant captured the magnificent tidal wave of graffiti in their pioneering documentary, Style Wars. Chairman Ting – Digital Graffiti At Olympic Village

Digital Graffiti at the Olympic Village from Alex Beim on Vimeo.

At the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010 this year, aside from Shaun White shredding to his way to Gold on the half pipe and Lindsey Vonn left her competition in a trail of powder, digital graffiti takes part in the winter sports festivities with Chairman Ting. The Vancouver Organizing Committee commissioned the experimental illustration and design workshop to demonstrate a digital graffiti performance at the Salt Building inside the Olympic Athlete’s Village using a unique digital graffiti wall technology by Tangible Interaction. Chariman Ting also collaborated with the U.S. Short Track Speed Skaters, Travis Jayner and Jordan Malone for a fun digital bombing session, Check out the time lapse video and enjoy the other side of the Winter Olympics which is slightly less nerve-wrecking and dangerous. via: Like Cool as told By freshnessmag
